Frank Talaber was born in Beaverlodge, Alberta, where the claim to fame is a fox with flashing eyes in the only pub, yeah, big place, that's why his family left when he was knee high to a grasshopper and moved to Edmonton, Alberta. Eventually he got tired of ten months of winter and two of bad slush and moved to Chilliwack, BC. Great place, Cedar trees, can cut the grass nine months of the year and, oh it does snow here once or twice. Just enough to have to find out what happened to the bloody snow shovel and have to use it. GRRR.
He's spent most of his life either fixing cars or managing automotive shops and is a licensed automotive technician. However it’s the little muses that keep twigging on his pencil won’t let his writing pad stay blank.
He's had several short stories published, short-listed in contests over the years and a few automotive articles published in RV magazines. He has several novels published through BWL publishing, which include the genres of urban fantasy, thriller, crime and romance. He also has written in science fiction, spiritual, erotica and comedy genres as well.
When asked once, "where does this creativity spring from?" He answered, "It’s the Gypsy blood from my mother’s Hungarian ancestry."
Literary madness that drives his wife crazy when he leaves their bed in the middle of the night to pound out some sort of prosaic induced brilliance. “Here we go again, the next War and Peace, Aka 21st century,” she moans, only to realize it’s either gibberish or there’s no lead in his pencil and he's scribbled on sixteen blank pages in the dark.
When asked about Frank Talaber’s Writing Style? He usually responds with: Mix Dan Millman (Way of The Peaceful Warrior) with Charles De Lint (Moonheart) and throw in a mad scattering of Tom Robbins (Even Cowgirls Get The Blues).
PS: He’s better looking than Stephen King (Carrie, The Stand, It, The Shining) and his romantic stuff will have you gasping quicker than Robert James Waller (Bridges Of Madison County).Or as is often said: You don’t have to be mad to be a writer, but it sure helps.

Gallagher Gray is an American writer who based her Hubbert & Lil series on her discovery of New York City in the 1980's and 90's, particularly her admiration for New Yorkers who did not shrink from who they were and who lived life full speed ahead. Both Auntie Lil and T.S. Hubbert are based on real individuals who influenced her life and taught her that age is a state of mind and has nothing to do with the number of years you have trod the earth.
Each book in the Hubbert & Lil series features a distinct area of New York City. "Partners in Crime" takes place on Wall Street, in a buttoned-down private bank determined to hide secrets almost as old as its wealthy clients. "A Cast of Killers" examines the grit-meets-glitz world of Hell's Kitchen, which rims the Broadway area and is home to aging actresses and Irish mobsters alike. The garment district is the setting for "Death of a Dream Maker" while the Lincoln Center area, along with the world of ballet, forms the backdrop for "A Motive for Murder."
A reviewer once said of Gallagher Gray, "the author has a fond eye for the eccentric." This love for the uniqueness of human beings, in all of their flawed glory, along with a knack for depicting the basic absurdity of life, runs throughout all of the Hubbert & Lil books -- creating a series that offers keen insights into human nature, gentle humor, and more than its share of uplifting moments.

I am born and raised in New Orleans. I started going to parades and watched them from sitting on my Dad's shoulders before I could walk. I've been in Girl Scout parades, high school parades, St. Patrick's parades, Mardi Gras parades, on dance teams in parades and just about any loosely organized group who deemed it necessary to parade. I just can't help myself. I love parades.
I attended Loyola of the South here in New Orleans so I wouldn't be far from a parade.
I spent 20+ years working for and retired from AT&T. I have worked and lived in New York City, Madison, New Jersey, Atlanta, Georgia and Birmingham, Alabama returning home for the big parade every year--Mardi Gras.
clm.photo .jpeg copy
Before Katrina, I moved away and back three times, four if you count rebuilding the same house at the same address after Katrina flooded my home. I did miss a couple of parades that year.
I'm an avid sailor and Scuba diver for many years, and made lasting friendships from sailing and dive trips. I love travel and if the opportunity presents itself, I'm there. Except for a brief stint where I had to own and learn how to ride a motorcycle, I've been a water baby. When I am not enjoying fun with friends in all New Orleans has to offer- sailing and racing with friends on Lake Pontchartrain, Mardi Gras, parties and festivals- I head to Florida.
I am an ardent animal lover and direct volunteer breed rescue work as Schnauzer Rescue of Louisiana. I love to write and I write about what I know and love! You can take the girl out of New Orleans, but you can't take the New Orleans out of the girl!
Dead & Breakfast, the second book in my series THE NEW ORLEANS GO CUP CHRONICLES placed in two categories in the 2014 SOLA Chapter of RWA's Dixie Kane contest for Short/Long Series for Contemporary fiction and for Single Title Contemporary fiction. My first book is RESCUED BY A KISS.
I'm President of the new chapter in New Orleans of Sisters in Crime. Our chapter name is SinC:New Orleans. Check us out on Facebook.

Diane Rapp became an entrepreneur when she started her own dog grooming salon in Santa Barbara, California. She spent the next thirty years as a small business owner; she sold real estate, started an office supply/copy center, and performed free-lance advertising design. During all those years Diane wrote stories as a cure for insomnia.
After writing a tour guide book to the Caribbean together, Diane’s daughter gave her the idea of writing a mystery set on cruise ships in the Caribbean. "Murder Caribbean-Style" and "Murder on a Ghost Ship" are the first two novels of a High Seas Mystery series. Readers meet the main characters of the series and learn about life aboard a ship while solving murders. There is danger and romance mixed in with the action. The third book in the series, "Murder for Glacier Blue" was released in August of 2013. The novel takes the reader on a cruise to Alaska with an art heist, murder, and a wedding planned for Glacier Bay.
Now readers may "play" games based on Diane's High Seas Mystery Series in a new game book. No lines to learn or parts to play. Three games designed for home or large parties are included in this full-color print edition. Use the games for fundraisers or pot luck parties and have loads of fun.

Garrett Dennis lives in upstate New York, where he and his wife serve as housekeeping staff for two rather spoiled dogs. He has graduate degrees in biology and computer science. After a career that ranged from testing experimental drugs (legal ones, and not on himself!) to developing computer operating system software, he decided to retire from the real world and try his hand at writing fiction.
Garrett lived in coastal North Carolina for a while some years back, and the current focus of his writing is a place that's very special to him, the Outer Banks region of North Carolina, which he still visits as often as possible. There are now three books in his Storm Ketchum Adventures series of quirky Outer Banks suspense novels, plus four short Storm Ketchum Tales.
If you're pining for John D. MacDonald and Travis McGee, Storm 'Ketch' Ketchum might be your guy. Like Hemingway's Old Man, he reveres his island and the sea; but unlike the Old Man, he doesn't fish - and despite his solitary nature, he and his boatyard friends find themselves embroiled in coastal intrigue more often than not. If you read the Hardy Boys series as a kid; if you're a fan of Outer Banks lore and the writings of David Stick, Judge Charles Whedbee, or Ben Dixon MacNeill; or if an ecological and literary juxtaposition of the likes of Randy Wayne White, Barbara Kingsolver, and Carl Hiaasen floats your boat, you'll enjoy the Storm Ketchum Adventures!
Keep a weather eye out for the next entry, and connect with Garrett at www.GarrettDennis.com or on Facebook & Twitter.

When I was growing up, I carried a book everywhere I went. Enid Blyton and Roald Dahl were my favourites.
Long story short, years later and keen for a new adventure, I moved to Spain to open a marina-front café bar, which was the inspiration for the series.
It was fabulous place to work, overlooking the sea and the boats, but with no experience of running a café, and very limited Spanish, it was the most challenging, most terrifying, but absolutely the most brilliant thing I've ever done...and the hardest I've ever worked!
In 2015, I read my first cozy mystery and knew I'd found a genre I loved to read, and wanted to write in. My first book, 'Tapas, Carrot Cake and a Corpse', followed a few months later in May of the same year and the eighth book in that series is due for publication in July 2017. A new series with a celestial theme will follow shortly…
When I’m not scribbling down ideas for new stories, or tapping away on my laptop, you’ll most likely find me with my nose in a book (I read everything from mysteries and romance to biographies and cookbooks), rustling up something experimental in the kitchen, or out with my gorgeous rescue dog, George, who has me well and truly wrapped around his little paw.
Sherri's first book in the series, 'Tapas, Carrot Cake and a Corpse', is free to download for Kindle at mybook.to/CharlotteDenver1 or for iBooks, Nook and Kobo at https://books2read.com/u/319E73.
